Information about the Orchestra​

New Players

Places may be limited depending on what instrument you play but please contact us if you are interested in finding out more. You should have a good level of orchestral experience and attained a minimum of ABRSM grade 8 or an equivalent qualification. Although there are currently no formal auditions, if a place is available you may be invited for a few weeks’ playing before membership is confirmed.

​Rehearsals typically start about 8 weeks before each concert and are usually held on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.30pm at the Birchall Hall, Queens College Junior School, Taunton with a short break for refreshments.

For each concert in which they play, members pay a subscription of £30 (£15.00 for students) towards the cost of running the Orchestra.
